Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Wrangler and Animal Husbandry Specialist. This role focuses on the care and management of our livestock, including horses and cattle, as well as guiding guest activities. The ideal candidate is professional, has a background in animal husbandry and ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Job Duties
- Care, maintenance, and exercise for all ranch horses.
- Feeding horses and pasture rotations.
- Assisting with vet and farrier visits as necessary.
- Provide a safe and enjoyable horseback riding experience with full knowledge of trails, horses, safety and emergency procedures.
- Assist with UTV and snowmobile trail rides
- Assist with planning and coordination of onsite and offsite guided activities.
- Assist with guest airport transportation as needed (driving trucks and SUVs).
- Communicate effectively with Ranch Manager, guests and co-workers.
- Act as a positive team member helping to promote an excellent work environment and supporting co-workers.
- Exhibit a high degree of flexibility at all times as may be necessary to assist with guest and ranch operations while maintaining a high degree of professionalism. We are a small team and support one another when it comes time for everyone to pitch in.
- Use equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, follows established safety procedures, uses appropriate safeguards, and observes common-sense rules of safety in all on-the-job activities.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Previous experience with maintaining, exercising and caring for horses
- Previous experience with riding instruction at the beginner level.
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills; ability to listen and de-escalate any guest concerns
- Friendly, outgoing personality and a positive attitude
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
- Resourceful with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- We operate a 24/7 guest Ranch and our guests’ experience is paramount. You must be flexible to work weekends and holidays and adapt to last-minute guest schedule changes.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field preferred.
- Team riding and/or equine program experience preferred.
